Oresa Napper-Williams

A woman destined for greatness through her eyes and through the eyes of all she encounters, Oresa Napper-Williams, affectionately known as “Reese”, was born and raised on the mean streets in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, NY. Although Oresa’s childhood years were predominantly influenced by her Christian background, there were still obstacles she faced in her adolescent years. These obstacles caused an unbalance in Oresa’s life and she ventured out into the streets. As God would have it, that time in Oresa’s life was for a reason and a season and would be used as the vehicle to fulfill her life's purpose. Her passion for the community began through her personal experience as a struggling single parent. This expressed burden towards the needs of the community at large and her love for business, prompted Oresa to establish two entities to provide social resources through her church: The Single Parents Resource & Support Group and the National Business Training Institute of NY, NJ and PA. This was just the beginning of her work.

Oresa, an innate leader and organizer is the Founder and Visionary of Not Another Child Inc. (NAC), an organization that provides unconventional therapeutic support and advocates for families and communities directly impacted by gun violence on both sides of the gun. NAC, accolades extends far and was established in the memory of Oresa's eldest son, Andrell Daron Napper, who was innocently gunned down on August 7, 2006.

Oresa’s continuous work has made her a National Leader. She serves on the board of the Black & Brown Prevention Consortium (BBPC) which is the foundation of the Fund Peace initiative who has helped shape talks of gun violence on the National level through the Biden Administration. As a part of BBPC, Oresa has also helped establish the first Community Violence Leadership Academy (CVLA) at the esteemed University of Chicago. Her contribution of curriculum writing and mentoring leaders from across the country, helps her to continue to make her mark on earth. When asked how these experiences have changed her life, Oresa stated, "In my youth I lost a lot of friends due to gun violence yet never in any nightmare could I have imagined what their loved ones were going through! This journey has given me empathy for those on both sides of the gun, has strengthened me to create support for families and advocate that justice be served in either situation.”

Oresa continues to abolish generational curses and pursue the will of God for her life. She continues to influence and mentors others through her work and her transparency. Her book, "And Then I Awoke, Releasing Your Potential and Purpose in Life" was released in 2008 and dedicated to the memory of her son, Andrell Daron Napper. Her next work, “Good Grief - Strategies for Grieving in the 21st Century” is due to be released.

Oresa is a founding member (1985) of the 2x Grammy Award-winning, Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, currently an Elder at Love Fellowship Tabernacle, The Kingdom Church and serves as the Director of Community Affairs for theCovenant Keepers International Alliance under the leadership of Bishop Hezekiah Walker. Her makeup is one of a kind, she is small in stature and mighty in power, yet her presence is delightful. She is known for her encouraging words, ladylikemannerisms and straight forward demeanor. With all that Oresa hasaccomplished, she deems her greatest joy as being Russ' wife, Justin’s motherand biggest fan and bonus Mom to Karon.
